Garticverse

Garticverse · Browser extension

Privacy

For extension version 2.0.0. Last updated 21 September 2026.

The short version: everything you set up stays in your own browser, nothing is collected about you, and a drawing leaves your computer only when you press a button that sends it.

What the extension stores

Garticverse keeps your settings in your browser’s own extension storage. That is:

  • Discord webhook addresses and the names and icons you give them
  • Your gallery’s website address, gallery slug and upload key
  • An optional session title used to group uploads
  • Your skin settings, including any background or logo image you upload
  • Your Twitch chat settings

None of this is sent anywhere for storage, and the extension does not turn on Chrome Sync for it. Removing the extension removes all of it. The Gartic Phone page itself never receives your gallery key — only whether a gallery is connected.

When a drawing is sent, and where

Nothing is uploaded in the background. A drawing leaves your browser only when you choose an action:

  • Download saves a file through your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
  • Send to Discord posts the image to the webhook you configured, and so to that Discord channel.
  • Upload to gallery sends the image, the drawing’s player name, a session title and a date to the gallery you connected, authenticated with your upload key.

An album action does the same thing for each drawing in that album, one at a time, and you can stop it while it runs.

Site access

The extension runs on garticphone.com and talks to discord.com for webhook posts. It has no standing access to any other website.

Because your gallery can live on any address, the extension asks Chrome for permission to reach that one site at the moment you connect it, and for nothing else. Disconnecting in the extension hands that access back. You can also withdraw it yourself from Chrome’s extension settings.

Twitch chat and remote images

If you turn on the chat sidebar, it loads Twitch’s chat widget, or the widget address you paste, in a frame beside the game. Loading it — or a skin background hosted at a remote address — is an ordinary request to that service, which will see the usual connection details such as your IP address. Those services’ own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.

What the extension does not do

There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising code, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone. The extension does not read your browsing history or any page other than Gartic Phone.

Your control

You can remove webhooks, disable chat, reset the skin, or disconnect the gallery at any time from the extension. Disconnecting removes the upload key from that browser; to invalidate a key everywhere, revoke it on your gallery’s admin page.

Removing the extension deletes its stored settings, but it does not delete drawings you already sent. Use Discord’s or your gallery’s own controls to remove those.
